Each Briefing is a 2-hour breakfast meeting with invited speakers (including local or regional leads) and gives you a chance to meet with your DSL locality peers, discuss issues and come away with a range of resources that you can take back into your school/setting.
Attendance is encouraged from the DSL in every school regardless of its designation and also members of the senior leadership team who have strategic oversight of safeguarding within the organisation.
KCSIE 16 requires schools to keep the DSL and all staff up-to-date with safeguarding agenda. The Briefing will look at the major topics that will affect schools within the context of District provision.
The District Safeguarding Network Briefings, which are for representatives of Birmingham Schools & Settings allow you to meet this requirement.
The events are designed to help you meet:
We look forward to welcoming you at this event.

- Provide you with information to feed into your 2017/18 Section 175 self-assessment and
