District Safeguarding Network - South, Northfield (Autumn Term 2018)

District Safeguarding Network

Outline

Each Briefing is a 2-hour breakfast meeting with invited speakers (including local or regional leads) and gives you a chance to meet with your DSL locality peers, discuss issues and come away with a range of resources that you can take back into your school/setting. In addition, following the 2 hour briefing, a group supervision session will be facilitated by the Education Safeguarding Team. All DSL’s and Pastoral Staff are welcome to attend.

Description

KCSIE 18 requires schools to keep the DSL and all staff up-to-date with safeguarding agenda. The Briefing will look at the major topics that will affect schools within the context of District provision.

The District Safeguarding Network Briefings, which are for representatives of Birmingham Schools & Settings allow you to meet this requirement. *Kindly note for 2018/19 there is a targeted session for special schools and resource bases.
