The MIDAS training course is held over 2 days. The first day will be classroom based and will cover the driver theory, Day two will cover the practical training and testing. On successful completion of the theory training you will be asked to book a date and time for the practical training.

Applicants must produce their driving licence on both training days and attendance on both days is compulsory.
Drivers who passed their driving test before 1997 have a full catergory D on their licence. This entitles them to drive a minibus over 3.5 tonnes. Drivers who passed their test after 1997 only have a catergory B which is limited to minbuses under 3.5 tonnes.
This theory based training will cover the following areas:
Driving licences. Defensive driving. Legal responsibilities. Health & Safety responsibilities. Breakdown. Accident & Emergency procedures etc.
The practical training must be booked through the driver training school on 0121 303 7393
The following areas will be covered:
Consists of Licence and Eyesight checks. Introduction to the vehicle (including vehicle checks). Demonstration and commentary drive by the instructor. Driver Training (including motorway driving), Driver Assessment. Assessment result and final briefing.
Successful candidates will be issued with a MIDAS Certificate, which is valid for four years. On or before the expiry of a certificate refresher training is recommended.
